Goods are supplied by Beta Climbing Designs (hereinafter referred to as Beta) according to these Terms and Conditions that override any conditions of sale stipulated by the purchaser. Beta reserves the right to decline to supply.
1. Retention of Title
Ownership of goods supplied by Beta shall not pass to the buyer until they are paid for in full. The risk for the goods shall be borne by the buyers from the date of delivery by Beta, or its carrier, to the buyer.
If the invoice for the goods is not paid by the due date Beta shall, at its absolute discretion, be at liberty either to recover the goods or maintain an action for the price of the goods.
The buyer grants Beta, for all purposes, an irrevocable lien on the goods until the price is paid and permits Beta access to recover the goods wheresoever they are held.
Without prejudice to the foregoing Beta may maintain an action against the buyer for any loss or damage suffered in consequence of the buyer’s failure to pay the price of the goods.
2. Prices
Prices quoted by Beta are based on known costs at time of order. If prior to dispatch, goods have risen due to circumstances beyond our control, the goods will be invoiced at a revised price. N.B. The trade prices in our price lists are exclusive of VAT. Retail prices include VAT.
3. Carriage
Goods will be shipped “carriage paid” by Beta to most mainland destinations in the UK on orders over the value of £250 (trade excluding VAT), below that figure we reserve the right to charge carriage and handling.

4. Payment Terms
Any invoices must be paid by the date stated on the invoice (usually 30 days from tax date for established customers). Beta reserves the right to charge interest at 3% above base rate per month (or part thereof) on any moneys outstanding over 30 days. If any account is passed to a 3rd party for collection we reserve the right to recover any charges made by the 3rd party. We also reserve the right to recover any legal charges incurred, which are not recovered by court action.
5. Credit References
Beta reserves the right to obtain at regular intervals verbal or written information from third parties verifying customer’s current trade credit rating.
6.Returned Goods
Please return any goods for attention with necessary paperwork for prompt action. Please note that any goods returned without prior agreement for reasons other than warranty may be subject to 15% re-stocking charge.
